Role Overview & Responsibilities

Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias) – Days Only – Chorley – Manufacturing – £35,000

  • Days Based Role
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
  • £35,000 Basic + Potential Overtime on Saturdays as required
  • Excellent benefits package
Mechanically Biased Engineer – Requirements

  • Formal Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Competence qualification would be advantageous
  • At least 2 years’ experience within an Industrial biased fast-moving continuous manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001
Mechanically Biased Engineer - Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance and adherence to company procedures, practices, and standards
  • Diagnose faults, test, repair and maintain Mechanical/Electrical equipment and machinery
  • Observe, recognise and report on machinery and equipment condition, performance, or symptoms of impending failure
  • Effectively support in-house projects which include equipment improvement activities and cost reductions
  • Carry out planned, preventative and corrective maintenance to agreed schedules
  • Interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment
  • Liaise with Maintenance and Operations staff to ensure assets are handed over in a timely, qualitative and operational running condition
  • Prioritise and support reactive/breakdown repair through the site SIC process
  • Effectively support Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule
  • Raise appropriate requests for replacement parts as required
  • Use and support departmental 5s programmes for workshops and engineering owned area
